Everton forward Richarlison seems to have been slightly annoyed with Jamie Carragher after the Liverpool legend criticised how often he goes to ground.

Likely still reeling from the Toffees' fourth defeat in five games after their 1-0 loss to Leeds United on Saturday, Richarlison took to social media to reply to Carragher's dig.

The Sky Sports commentator had been diving into his mentions on Twitter to criticise an Everton fan who had accused him of being biased while criticising Richarlison - having played alongside Luis Suarez in his career and not complained.

Carragher also recently praised Tottenham's Harry Kane for going to ground easily, on Sky's Monday Night Football.

The former Anfield favourite defended himself on Twitter from the accusations of bias against Liverpool's local rivals, writing: "Talking about Richarlison going down is nothing to do with bias. Every EFC game I do he goes down 3/4 times like he's got a big injury then just gets up! It's not about getting a penalty or a foul but pretending he's hurt when he's not."

Richarlison appeared to have been riled by this, replying with a gif of himself shushing the crowd after scoring.

The Brazil international may be right to be annoyed at being singled out, having been one of Everton's best performers this season.

He missed three of their four defeats after receiving a red card in the Merseyside Derby, and has scored four goals in nine appearances this season.

Fans had noticed during the Leeds defeat that that Carragher might be picking on Richarlison more often than he does for other players and tried to defend him.

Was he being fair? Yes or no, Richarlison's reply at least brightened one Toffee's day:
