David Luiz Officially Signs New Deal, Arsenal Fans Absolutely Lose Their Minds

Arsenal fans have furiously reacted to the club extending David Luiz's contract with the defender agreeing a new one-year deal.

The Brazilian centre-back joined the Gunners last summer for £8 million from Chelsea on an initial 12 months.

But Arsenal have reached an agreement with Luiz over an extension with the 33-year-old to stay on for the 2020/21 season.

However, the deal to keep Luiz at the club for another campaign has not gone down well with Arsenal supporters.

Some fans have slammed the decision to hold onto the calamitous player, who endured a shocking game against Manchester City last week.

"I hate this club God," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "My day is ruined and I woke up no more than 30 minutes ago."

A third added: "This really shows that this club doesn't have a clear vision."

Arsenal have lost their opening two Premier League games since the restart. They lost 3-0 to Manchester City before losing to Brighton over the weekend.

The North London club occupy 10th place with 40 points on the board. They return to action on Thursday against Southampton.
