Lionel Messi has scored so many different types of goals in his glittering career but he has a knack for producing spectacular efforts from distance.
In total, Messi has 724 goals for club and country and it's believed that 126 have come from outside the box.
That staggering statistic begun to do the rounds last night after Messi added two more long-range beauties to his collection in the 5-1 thrashing of Deportivo Alaves.
In first half stoppage time, Messi doubled Barca's lead when he cut in and produced a satisfying strike in off the post.
But he went and bagged an even better goal in the second half. After receiving a pass from Antoine Griezmann, Messi performed his trademark drop of the shoulder to work an opening and came up with a glorious goal from distance.

It was almost effortless from Messi, who found the perfect blend of power and accuracy to leave the goalkeeper completely rooted to the spot.
Normally, this level of finish would have been a shoo-in for a player's best ever goal but as we know, Messi's highlight reel is so outrageous that it might not even make his top 20.
