Dani Alves has officially signed for Paris-Saint Germain.

The Brazilian defender terminated his Juventus contract last month, and it appeared as though he was heading to Manchester City, where he would link up with former boss Pep Guardiola.

Goal claimed that the three time Champions League winning defender was to sign a two-year deal at the Etihad Stadium worth ยฃ8.6 million, equating to roughly ยฃ85,000-per-week.

However Alves has had a change of heart and instead has signed for Paris Saint-Germain, where he is expected to earn more than double what City were offering him.

Alves has been pictured, posing with his new shirt at PSG headquarters:

And the French outfit confirmed the signing by posting the following video of him:

The former Barcelona right-back has taken on the No.32 shirt at PSG, and has penned a two-year deal with the Ligue One side.

Pep Guardiola is said to be livid with the failure to land Alves, with Aleksandar Kolarov the only recognised first-team full-back at the club, and he has been used mostly as a centre-back under the former Barca and Bayern boss.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

What do you make of Alves' decision? Where do City go from here?
