Barcelona are bracing themselves for a €50m bid for midfielder Arda Turan, with Guangzhou Evergrande keen on the Turkish international.

In recent times, a whole host of household names have headed to the Chinese Super League for big money in recent times - including the likes of Oscar, Axel Witsel, Ricardo Carvalho, John Obi Mikel and Carlos Tevez.

Here is a list of just some of the players who have moved to China:

And according to Spanish outlet Sport, Arda Turan is on the wishlist of Guanzghou Evergrande, who won the league and Cup last time out under coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

They already have fairly big names in their ranks in the form of Paulinho and Jackson Martinez, but are looking to add an elite player to be even stronger for the defence of the their title in the upcoming season.

Turan, who has scored 12 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions, fits the bill.

Although Barca would prefer to keep him at the club, they need to raise funds to fund Lionel Messi's rumoured mega new contract.

And the rumoured €50m offer that is expected to come in is substantially more than the initial £24.1m the Blaugrana are reported to have paid to sign him from Atletico Madrid.

That could tempt Barcelona into selling the 29-year old, who would likely earn wages of €20m-a-year if he does indeed move to the Chinese Super League.

Can you see Turan moving to China anytime soon?
