He pulled the strings in midfield and showed off his range of passing while linking up nicely with Arsenal's forwards.
He displayed his defensive side too as he broke up Chelsea's midfield work, even nutmegging N'Golo Kante.
Smith Rowe, who enjoyed a loan spell at Huddersfield Town last season, capped his performance with a tidy assist as he set up fellow youngster Bukayo Saka.
Naturally, Arsenal fans loved the 20-year-old's brilliant Premier League outing.

One wrote: "Absolutely top class prospect, I hope Mikel sticks with him for the rest of this season."
A second tweeted: "Was giving prime ozil vibes in there more to come."
A third added: "Works hard, on the front foot, determined, enthusiastic, willing to get stuck it, and creative."
Another said: "Still needs to improve in the final third but I like how he exploited the spaces. That's what Ozil used to do over the years."
Mikel Arteta's side are now six points clear of the relegation zone with 17 points on the board following their fifth league win of the season.
They resume their league campaign on Tuesday against Brighton.
Should Smith Rowe continue his role in midfield? Let us know what you think.
