Arsenal fans have reacted after fresh footage emerged of Emile Smith-Rowe's new tattoo following a poor season hindered by injury for the player.

The 22-year-old Arsenal midfielder has endured a frustrating season amongst Mikel Arteta's side, after being blighted by injury which limited the player to just 14 appearances across all competitions.

Across these outings, Smith-Rowe accumulated just 208 minutes of action where he recorded two assists, a scratch on the surface of his 12 goal contributions in the Premier League he registered last season.

Having undergone surgery for a groin injury picked up last September, Smith-Rowe will now be eyeing a regular starting spot within Arteta's side as he looks to help build on the strong performances from the club this season, which saw them take second place in the top flight and qualify for Champions League football.

A plan that is clearly in the players mind after outlining his intentions with his new tattoo in recent days. The England international was pictured on the TikTok account (@astartattoos) with a new piece of artwork, which read 'confia en el proceso' which is Spanish for 'trust the process', highlighting his long-term goals in red moving forward.

Here is how Arsenal fans have responded after the footage was released...

@Moneymoonz: LOOOOOOOOOL

@DrJAzzTehara: bookmark this for when he comes back hard next season.

@ns_ultra: icl i love him but this is killing me
