Newcastle United have been voted as the best atmosphere in the Premier League.

The Magpies' charge up the Premier League has been quite the story over the course of the last 12 months, with their famous atmosphere seemingly playing a key role in their rise.

Eddie Howe's side saw off stiff competition from Leeds United, Liverpool and Crystal Palace to be declared the best atmosphere in the English top flight as voted for by you, the SPORTbible readers.

Newcastle cruised to victory with 40.4% of the overall vote, whilst Liverpool claimed the runner-up spot with 26.6%, closely edging past Leeds who received 20.5% of the vote.

Despite being famed for its incredible home atmosphere, Crystal Palace finished bottom of the list, with just 12.5% of voters opting for the Eagles.

Newcastle will be hoping that they can recreate a slither of the St James Park atmosphere when they head to Wembley later this month to take on Manchester United in the final of the Carabao Cup.

The Magpies will be aiming to get their hands on a first trophy since their Saudi Arabian takeover and in doing so, pick up their first major honour since 1955.

Although they shouldn't worry too much about the result of the hotly anticipated clash, not according to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, who declared that they are competing for a trophy that 'nobody really cares about'.

Newcastle has exceeded expectations in the Premier League so far this season and remains on course for a top-four finish in the competition.

It looks as though we will get an inside look at all of the ongoings inside St James Park this season, with Amazon cameras thought to have been filming behind-the-scenes action as they prepare to release the next instalment in the All or Nothing series.
