Mykhailo Mudryk has endured a tough start to his Chelsea career

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has called out a fan who wrote a critical comment on his Instagram post.

Back in January, Mudryk arrived at Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth up to £89 million.

With big money came huge expectations but the Ukrainian has so far found it tough to settle in the Premier League.

To date, he has failed to score and has only managed two assists in 15 Premier League appearances for the Stamford Bridge club.

In a recent Instagram post, one fan criticised Mudryk by writing a comment that read: “Bro learn to make 360 turns with the ball it will help u change direction and be unpredictable.

“Running with the ball in one direction isn’t good enough. Clue.”

However, Mudryk was in no mood to accept the fan’s advice as he hit back with: “Why you are didn’t win Balon d’Or yet?”

Speaking back in March, Mudryk himself admitted that his first few months in English football have been tough.

He said: “I can say yes, it's a lot of pressure, but it's not for the first time.

“I like this pressure because one day that guy who said I’m a loser, one day he will say I’m a winner. Time will tell.”

Mudryk also said that Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko has helped him settle into life in London.

He added: “He helped me a lot. I like him so much. We often joke about Arsenal, Chelsea and what colour London is.

“But I like this guy, he is a very funny and very kind guy. We spend time always [together] in a positive way.”

To be fair to Mudryk, Chelsea as a whole endured a poor season as the club ended up sacking two managers in Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.

The returning Frank Lampard could not inspire the team as he limped to a dismal 12-place finish in the Premier League.

Looking ahead to the 23/24 season, new manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “I feel good, I am not a coach that needs to ask for power, I don't put things in my clause. The most important is to show them to put trust in me. I need to convince them that they need to trust, that's the biggest power you can have.

“My target is to win - if you're in a club like Chelsea, you can't talk about doing a nice job or playing well.”

Chelsea will start their Premier League season with a huge clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
