Michael Owen has come up with a superb analogy between defending and scoring goals that has stunned football fans.
Rio Ferdinand invited Owen, who brought along his Ballon d'Or trophy following his 2001 triumph, onto his YouTube channel to talk about all things football.
They discussed Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and comparisons to Wayne Rooney among other topics.
The former Liverpool and Manchester United star also claimed England could have won a second World Cup if one player had featured more regularly.

Owen and Ferdinand almost clashed when the ex-forward said it was 'easier to defend' than to create goals until he dropped a hilarious yet accurate analogy.
He exclaimed: "In the main, it's easier to defend than it is to create... isn't it?"
Naturally, Ferdinand, who made his name as a defender, took exception to his former England teammate's claim, replying: "Explain that please because I don't know about that."
To which Owen replied with a bizarre analogy that somewhat makes sense.

"It's easier to spoil in many ways than to create isn't it," he said, sitting in a luxury setting. "If you ask me to build this house, I wouldn't be able to do it. But give me a few weeks I'd be able to knock it down."
Ferdinand burst out laughing once Owen delivered his analogy.
Needless to say, Owen's analogy got fans online talking as even Liverpool fans warmed to him.

One X user wrote: "He talks a lot of nonsense but this actually makes total sense."
A second added: "He’s 100% correct. Stopping a goal is far easier than scoring one, only issue is you have to do it more than once."
A third said: "This might be one of his best quotes ever, he actually explained that really well."
Another commented: "First thing I’ve ever heard him say that I agree with."
