Mark Goldbridge's 'meltdown' after Brentford's fourth goal vs Man Utd is going viral

Bryan Mbuemo's goal in the 35th minute made it 4-0.

Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge was in a state of disbelief after Bryan Mbuemo made it 4-0 to Brentford after just 35 minutes – and his incredible 'meltdown' is going viral.

Goldbridge, real name Brent Di Cesare, was hosting a live stream watchalong on YouTube fan channel The United Stand during the club's embarrassing 4-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon.

Brentford went 3-0 up within half an hour after goals from Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen and Ben Mee... and then this happened. Take it away, Mark.

Here's a transcript of what he said in full:

“This could be four… OH NO! OH NO! You are having a laugh. It’s 4-0 after 34 minutes! Don’t do this! You can’t do this! 4-0 after 34 minutes! What is going on? It’s a f****** joke. It’s an absolute disgrace.

“Don’t talk to me about the b***** Glazers. These players are a joke. Luke Shaw… what are you doing? Oh my god. They don’t deserve to wear the shirt. We said it last year. Why are you picking these p*****. Why are you picking them?

“Luke Shaw… he shouldn’t have started the game. That is on the coaches. I’m sorry. He shouldn’t have started the game. It’s a one vs one foot-race and he’s been beaten like he’s had 10 pints last night and he’s playing Sunday morning football.

"That’s f****** awful. Absolutely awful. Why is he playing? Why have we bought a left-back and picked him for the last two games!"

Goldbridge added: "4-0! 35 minutes and it’s 4-0! This is a disgrace. I’m sorry… What is going on at this football club now?”

Things quickly went from bad to worse for United after David De Gea's blunder from Josh DaSilva's tame effort in the 10th minute. Here's a thread showing Goldbridge's reaction to every goal at the Gtech Community Stadium.

And the fourth...

Goldbridge also appeared on talkSPORT after the final whistle, where he opened up about the club's ongoing problems.

“Over the last 12 months we’ve been beaten comprehensively seven times,” he said. “I’m talking 4-0 against Brighton, 4-0 against Brentford today, Leicester, Watford, Liverpool twice, Man City.

“It’s the same players. [Harry] Maguire as captain Bruno [Fernandes] starting, Luke Shaw, [Marcus] Rashford, [Scott] McTominay gets dropped and then brought back on.

“It has been an absolutely disgusting summer transfer window. Richard Arnold is sat there, we saw him on the TV, he is the CEO of this football club.

"John Murtough, brought Ralf Rangnick in to rebuild this football club, sacked him, and then took the job on himself to rebuild the club, and it’s been a total and utter mistake."

Goldbridge added: "This Manchester United fansbase needs to unify, forget all the little ‘you don’t like this player I don’t like that player’ this fanbase needs to jump on the opportunity to remove the Glazers, then we can remove the CEO the director of football, most of the coaches, most of the board, and most of the players and cleanse this football club from top to bottom.

“Ronaldo knows their level. He knows the level at Real Madrid, Juventus, Portugal, he knows what a good coach is, he also knows what the limitations of a good coach are.

“I think Ronaldo saw this coming, he knew that no matter how good Ten Hag is he knew this squad, he knew the mentality and he knew this was coming.

“That’s why in June when he saw nobody being sold and nobody being bought he thought ‘this manager could be a combination of Sir Alex, Pep, Klopp the lot, he is not going to succeed with these players’, and you can’t blame him for wanting to leave.”
