Casemiro told to leave Man Utd for Juventus by former Man City star

Casemiro has been told to leave Man Utd.

Casemiro was told to leave Manchester United for Juventus by a former Manchester City player.

The Old Trafford club take on Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final this evening.

And Erik ten Hag’s men have been given a major boost as Casemiro, who has served a four-match domestic ban, returns to the fold.

While the Brazilian has faced disciplinary issues this season, having received two straight red cards in the Premier League in a matter of months, he has also been a catalyst for United’s success under Ten Hag.

Casemiro is enamoured by the United faithful and has been central to all the progress the club have made this term in both boxes.

And at 31, having signed a four-year deal last summer with the option of an extension, United are likely to be Casemiro’s last elite club.

However, a former City player has admitted he would love Casemiro to join him at Juventus and work under Massimiliano Allegri.

Danilo on Casemiro

Speaking ahead of Juventus' Europa League meeting with Sporting, Danilo insisted he would love it if his compatriot Casemiro moved to Juventus.

In an interview with the Athletic, Danilo spoke about the history of Brazilian players at Juventus and the influence of his countrymen in Europe’s top league.

The former City man said: “Look at the top sides and they all have Brazilians who are either captains or hard workers.

“There’s Marquinhos at PSG, Thiago Silva at Chelsea, Casemiro at Madrid and then Man United. Alisson at Liverpool. Ederson at City, and Fernandinho before him.

“The perception of Brazilian footballers has changed and so where there was once a clash with Juve, all of these players could come here and be in the team for years.

“I’d love to have Casemiro. He’d be at home here.”
