Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is the most wanted player at Old Trafford and more than 20 teams have made an offer to take him on loan this summer.

The 18-year-old caught everyone's eye last season after scoring twice in May's FA Youth Cup final victory over Nottingham Forest.

He had already made his Premier League debut in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea the previous month and manager Erik ten Hag is a huge fan of the player.

The Mirror report ten Hag is weighing up if United is the right environment for Garnacho to continue growing at this stage.

Over 20 clubs from five different countries, England, Spain, Germany, Italy and Scotland are hoping United want to loan him out.

Garnacho started Sunday's 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano and looked electric, always willing to take a man on.

A decision is yet to be made and some in the United hierarchy want the Argentina youth international to stay until January and see how he gets on.

Premier League sides will be allowed five substitutions per game starting this season and that could give academy graduates more chance of game time.

Ten Hag was impressed by Garnacho's performance last weekend and told MUTV: "What we want is young players who deserve a chance and we want to give them a chance.

"He shows himself during pre-season and that’s why he came in and he played pretty well.

"And that is hopeful, his performance was really good."

United are yet to add to their frontline in the transfer window and Cristiano Ronaldo's future remains unclear.

The Red Devils are interested in RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, but know he'll cost up to £42 million.

Discussions continue with Barcelona over midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who United have chased for 12 weeks.

Ten Hag was asked about de Jong ahead of Sunday's clash with Brighton and replied: "We want Frenkie [de Jong]? I didn't know!

"It's about the right players but I can't speak about players under contract at another club.

"When there is news you will know."
