A highlights video of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has got Manchester United fans excited amid transfer rumours.

As the summer transfer window begins to take shape, United are working around the clock behind the scenes in order to build a squad strong enough to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.

Over the last few weeks, one of the main talking points has been the future of goalkeeper David de Gea, whose contract ran out at the end of June.

The Spaniard is now officially a free agent but there is a chance that he could return to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, United have been looking at goalkeepers during the transfer window.

According to Japanese media outlet Sponichi Annex, the Red Devils are progressing smoothly as they look to reach an agreement with Urawa Red Diamonds for goalkeeper Suzuki.

Now, United fans are starting to get excited after seeing a video of Suzuki’s best bits.

One fan said: “If Erik ten Hag wants him, I’m fine with that, he looks good”

Another tweeted: “We’re gonna have two keepers with a modernised style, Ten Hag you are that guy.”

A third fan added: “Suzuki by name, Rolls-Royce by nature.”

Someone else wrote: “Yup. We definitely want him.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Yeah looks good what I seen of him.”

Apart from Suzuki, it is believed that United are targeting Inter Milan stopper Andre Onana.

Earlier in the week, United reportedly had an opening bid of £38.5 million rejected by the Serie A giants.

According to Sky Sports, a gap remains between United and Inter, with the Italian outfit looking for a fee closer to £51.4 million.

On Thursday, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Manchester United have improved their bid for Andre Onana. It’s now worth €50m add-ons included, around €45m plus €5m add-ons.

“Inter always asked for €60m package — but sources believe €55m could be the right number to make it happen. Talks continue.”
