Former Man United Star's Other Half Worked Modest £10 An Hour Clothes Store Job While He Collected £100,000-A-Week

The player sealed a dream move to Manchester United but that didn't stop his other half working a part-time job.

Former Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin's other half worked a modest job a clothes store while he played for the Red Devils.

Schneiderlin initially played in the lower echelons of English football with Southampton, where he spent a total of seven seasons and developed into one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.

His fine form for the Saints led to Louis van Gaal snapping him up for a reported £27 million fee in 2014. He was said to be earning £100,000-a-week.

It was during his time in the north west that Schneiderlin met Camille, who was working as a shop assistant at the Adidas store in Manchester City centre.

Manning the tills and helping with stock, Camille was earning £10 an hour and continued to work part-time while her boyfriend played in the Premier League.

Schneiderlin fell out of favour at United when Jose Mourinho was appointed manager, making just three starts and five substitute appearances in the Portuguese boss' first season.

As a result, he linked up again with former manager Ronald Koeman at Everton in a £24 million switch and played 88 times for the Toffees in all competitions.

Schneiderlin proposed to Camille in the French Riviera in March 2016 and they tied the knot in June 2017, before their first child was born the following year.

Earlier this year, Schneiderlin revealed regret over leaving United for Everton in 2017 following a chat with Mourinho.

"I learned a lot from my departure from Manchester United," the Nice midfielder told L’Equipe.

"I had played 40 matches the previous season with Manchester. When I come back from the Euros, I take ten days off and I play very little for three, four months.

“Then, I have Ronald Koeman and Everton who are pushing hard to get me, every day, from October. I will remember it all my life: I should have played against Liverpool (October 17, 2016), starter, and the coach (Mourinho) comes to see me.

"He tells me he doesn’t feel me inside the group. I tell him that indeed, with what has happened in the last three months, I am not in it and I want to go to Everton.

"I regretted it very quickly. Even if it went very well at Everton when you play for Manchester United, when you’re at a club like that, it’s not for a moment of doubt that you have to question everything."
