Steven Gerrard has named his pick for the greatest midfielder in Premier League history.
Gerrard, 45, will forever be remembered as one of the finest midfielders to ever play in the Premier League and is arguably Liverpool's greatest player of all time.
During his 26-year stay with the Reds, Gerrard worked his way up the youth system before captaining Liverpool to triumphs in the Champions League and the FA Cup, among other trophies.
In total, the Englishman made 710 appearances across all competitions for the Anfield club, scoring 185 goals.

In 2015, Gerrard left Liverpool for MLS side LA Galaxy before calling time on his career in 2016.
During his time in the Premier League, Gerrard played with and against some of the best midfielders in world football, but one stood out.
Recently, when asked by TNT Sports to name the best midfielder in Premier League history, Gerrard said: "Roy Keane."

The 45-year-old went on to name Luis Suarez as the best player he has played with, while naming Paul Gascoigne as England's greatest of all time.
Similarly to Gerrard, Keane made a name for himself playing in the English game, having played for clubs like Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
During what was an illustrious career at the Red Devils, Keane lifted seven Premier League titles and one Champions League among other accolades.
Speaking during a Q&A session in Thailand last month, Gerrard was asked to pick between Keane, Frank Lampard and Patrick Vieira.

The former Liverpool captain replied: "I think to complement my game, to make me better, the one that suits my game better to play with would be Roy Keane.
"They’re all fantastic players… all high quality, but Frank very similar [to me]."
Gerrard continued: "Vieira [had] similarities as well as a little bit. But he [Keane] is more like Dietmar Hamann, [Javier] Mascherano and [would] help me get forward."
