Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about Casemiro following Real Madrid's crushing Champions League elimination.

The La Liga giants were knocked out of the competition after losing 5-1 on aggregate, losing the second-leg tie 4-0 at the Etihad on Wednesday.

The visitors just couldn't get going in the first-half as the Blues produced a rampant display, scoring two goals in the opening 45-minutes.

Bernardo Silva bagged a brilliant brace as Real were completely outran in midfielder as the likes of Rodri and Ilkay Gungodan dominated the middle of the park.

After the result, Man United supporters on social media immediately singled out Casemiro, who was snapped up from the Spanish side last summer, as they highlighted his importance to Real.

They said the Brazilian was the 'glue' in Real's midfield and claimed he's the reason behind their recent success.

One Twitter user wrote: "Casemiro I’m sorry we were wrong we need you there is not replacement.

A second tweeted: "Casemiro was the GLUE to Madrid’s midfield."

A third added: "Casemiro was the glue then."

A fourth commented: "They told us Casemiro wasn't the glue and was easily replaceable..."

A fifth said: "Now the whole world has known the reason behind Real Madrid success all this year's."

A Real supporter voiced: "I miss you Casemiro."

Casemiro left Real for Man United and has starred for his new team this season. He's been a crucial figure under Erik ten Hag, inspiring his side to Carabao Cup glory.

Without the 31-year-old, Ancelotti has been mianly operating a midfield of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Federico Valverde, with Eduardo Camavinga filling in at left-back while Aurelien Tchouameni waits in the wings.

But it appears the club are on course to snap up Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in what will be an incredible addition to their midfield.
