Everything you need to know about Man United vs Liverpool

Liverpool take the short trip over to Manchester tonight to take on the Red Devils, and both teams are looking for their first wins of the new season.

Liverpool fans will be disappointed with their sides’ start to the campaign after seeing their team draw 2-2 with newly promoted Fulham and following it up with a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

To make matters worse, their star midfielder Thiago picked up an injury against the Cottagers which will keep him out for six weeks, and their big money summer signing, Darwin Nunez, was shown a red card for a headbutt against Palace, which leaves their squad looking very short ahead of their trip to Old Trafford.

Although the Merseyside club have only picked up two points so far this season, their supporters will be consoled by the horrific start their rivals are having.

Erik Ten Hag’s introduction to the Premier League has seen his United side lose 2-1 to Brighton at home on the opening weekend and then travelling to Brentford and being thumped 4-0 the next week.

Man United vs Liverpool Team News:

After a horrendous start, Ten Hag may be tempted to make a number of changes to his side.

They will still be without Victor Lindelof, Facundo Pellistri, and Brandon Williams who are all injured, but Anthony Martial may be fit to come back into the squad.

Unfortunately for United fans, Casemiro will have to wait to make his debut for the club as a late registration means he is unable to play this evening.

Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to avoid dropping points for a third consecutive week, but his depleted squad will not allow him to make many changes.

Joel Matip, Ibrahim Konate, Darwin Nunez, Thiago, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones and Oxlaide Chamberlain are all unavailable for selection, but Roberto Firmino back has recovered from a fitness issue and is expected to start.
