Manchester United fans want Joao Cancelo after he left a comment on Bruno Fernandes' social media post following their win over Nottingham Forest.

Fernandes pulled the strings as Man United made it three league wins in a row by beating Forest 2-0 at the City Ground on Sunday.

The win moves the Red Devils above Newcastle United to third place in the table, with Fernandes taking to social media to praise the team.

On Instagram, he wrote: "On the road but always focused on our goal. Great performance from the team this afternoon and thank you to the away fans."

The Man United star's post prompted Cancelo to leave a comment as he wrote: "My baby play to much."

The exchange between the two Portugal internationals sent social media wild as Man United fans suggested he'd be a 'perfect' player under Erik ten Hag.

One Twitter user wrote: "Cancelo would be the perfect Ten Hag type of RB but in no way City would sell him to us plus Cancelo needs to work on his attitude a bit."

A second tweeted: "Get Cancelo for us Bruno."

A third added: "Cancelo to Utd. Who says no? We will have depth in wing backs."

A fourth said: "Bring Cancelo to United."

Another commented: "AGENT BRUNO AT WORK."

Cancelo is currently on loan at Bayern Munich until the end of the season, having left Manchester City during the January transfer window.

But he's found minutes hard to come by since his switch, with Thomas Tuchel now at the helm following the ruthless sacking of Julian Nagelsmann.

But Man United fans are convinced he would be an ideal player for Ten Hag and hope Fernandes can lure him to Old Trafford in the summer.
