Man United fans tell club to sign Christian Eriksen replacement on transfer deadline day
| Last updated
Manchester United fans have told the club to sign a Premier League star on transfer deadline day to replace the injured Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils beat Reading 3-1 in the FA Cup last weekend, with the victory at Old Trafford coming at a cost.
Eriksen left the ground in crutches following a crunching tackle from Andy Carroll, who was eventually red carded following two quick bookings.
The Danish midfielder is set to undergo tests to determine the length of his injury, with Erik ten Hag fearing the worst ahead of the second half of the season.

And it appears Man United supporters want the club to take action as they've identified Leicester City's Youri Tielemans.
They're hoping Ten Hag can bring in the Belgium midfielder before today's 11pm deadline.
One Twitter user wrote: "Manchester United please go get Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans as replacement for Eriksen he did fit in into the Manchester philosophy."
A second tweeted: "I want this Tielemans at all costs @ManUtd do the needful please."
A third added: "Please @ManUtd sign this Tielemans guy to fill in for Eriksen."
A fourth said: "Man United should swap Scott Mctominay for Youri Tielemans to replace injured Christian Eriksen."
Another commented: "So we’ve potentially got Eriksen out for an period of time and yet we’ve still no movement on a transfer or possible loan? Tielemans is an obvious option and a perfect fit for the squad. Get it done @ManUtd, before a stretched squad costs us a decent finish to the season!"
Tielemans, 25, has been at Leicester since 2018 following a successful loan spell from AS Monaco.
But the Belgium international is nearing the end of his stay at the King Power Stadium, having turned down all offers for a new deal.
He's set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season, with the player also linked with a move to Arsenal.
But Man United fans are hoping they can pip their domestic rivals to the signing of Tielemans as they look for reinforcements ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.
