Man United fans think Arsenal will give them a Guard of Honour at Old Trafford after 23/24 fixtures were released

The 23/24 Premier League fixtures have been released

Manchester United fans have been making bold predictions after seeing their fixtures for the 23/24 season.

On Thursday morning, the Premier League released the full schedule for the upcoming campaign.

United will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on the opening weekend whilst Arsenal host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates.

The pick of the bunch from the opening weekend will be Chelsea vs Liverpool.

Looking ahead to the end of the 23/24 season, a United fan has made a huge prediction.

On Twitter, the user wrote: “Arsenal giving us a Guard of Honour at Old Trafford. ‘I will love it and I think I deserve…’”

This is because Arsenal are set to travel to Old Trafford on the penultimate weekend of the campaign. By then, the United fan clearly thinks they will have the Premier League title wrapped up.

Other fans were quick to react to the Tweet.

One said: “That would be spectacular, bring it on!!”

Another tweeted: “Us giving them a guard of honour at home. I will not be there.”

A third fan added: “It's only 9am and you’re already drunk.”

Someone else wrote: “There are more chances of it being us giving them a guard of honour.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Or they dunk on us at OT and win the title.”

After finishing third in the 22/23 season, Erik ten Hag will hope to bring United much closer to champions Manchester City.

The summer transfer window will be crucial for the Dutchman as he looks to further build his own squad for an assault on the Premier League and the Champions League.

So far, United have been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea star Mason Mount. It was reported on Wednesday evening that the Stamford Bridge club rejected a bid of around £40 million from the Red Devils.

It is believed that Chelsea are looking for at least £70 million in order to part ways with Mount.
