Man City ready to give 'mind boggling' offer to Inter Milan star

Manchester City could be disrupting Inter Milan's plans in the Champions League final as they ready a 'mind boggling' offer for one of their stars.

All that stands between City and the Treble is Inter and the final on Saturday night in Istanbul, with the Premier League side having already won the league and FA Cup double.

There is no doubt that Pep Guardiola's team will be heavy favourites to win the European title for the first time, against a side who finished third is Serie A.

Should they manage it then the English champions would be only the second team to have won all three competitions in a single season and only the eighth European club to have won the equivalent.

It will certainly be an uphill struggle for Simone Inzaghi's side to stop City, considering how unbeatable they've looked in recent months.

Inter star Alessandro Bastoni will be one of the most important players if the Nerazzurri are to manage it, especially as he believes he has a plan to stop Erling Haaland.

Star midfielder Nicolo Barella is another who could prove to be decisive, especially with the way that Guardiola teams like to dominate the ball.

According to Mediaset, via Sport Witness, City are very interested in signing the 26-year-old and are ready to make a big offer for him.

The report claims that Guardiola 'dotes' after the Italian and the Premier League side could get the chance to speak to the Italians after the final.

The former Cagliari star has caught the eye with his performances in the current campaign and has also been linked with Liverpool.

A cynic might suggest that rumours coming about that City want one of Inter's best players just days before the final are some sort of plant to disrupt their opponents.

However there could be a situation where the team from the Etihad Stadium are desperate to add more quality to the centre of the park.

Ilkay Gundogan's contract with the club is set to expire in just a matter of weeks and he has yet to agree a new deal with City.

Arsenal and Barcelona are both thought to be interested and seeing how important he is to their biggest matches he will need replacing should he leave.
