Luis Suarez was reduced to tears on the bench as he found out about South Korea's last-gasp goal against Portugal.

Uruguay beat Ghana 2-0 in their final game of the group stage round and appeared to have booked their spot in the World Cup last 16.

But Hwang Hee-chan scored a 91st minute winner against Portugal in the other Group H match to pip Uruguay to the last 16 on goals scored.

South Korea's goal got the better of Suarez, who broke down in tears as he put his match shirt over his head in emotional scenes.

The former Liverpool striker can be seen weeping on the bench in what could be his final outing at a World Cup.

Uruguay are eliminated from the World Cup, with Portugal advancing to the next round of the tournament as group winners while South Korea also progress as runners-up.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta scored both of Uruguay's goals in their 2-0 win over Ghana while South Korea came from behind to beat Portugal.

Ricardo Horta opened the scoring in the fifth minute as Kim Young-gwon cancelled out his early strike.

Wolves striker Hwang then popped up in stoppage time to grab his side's winner to claim their spot in the last 16.
