Manchester United YouTuber Mark Goldbridge admitted he is worried about Liverpool’s rebuild.

After a dismal trophyless season, which saw Liverpool lose their Champions League status, Jurgen Klopp is attempting to navigate the biggest squad shake-up of his tenure.

And the club’s early business has been promising for Reds fans. On Sunday, Liverpool announced the £60million signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig on a five-year deal.

Liverpool triggered the Hungarian’s release clause to make him their second major signing of the summer after the £35million acquisition of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton last month.

Since wrapping up the signing of Szoboszlai, there has been speculation Liverpool are now targeting Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.

TalkSPORT has claimed Liverpool are trying to beat rivals to the signing of Lavia by making an opening bid for the young Belgian.

In contrast, the Athletic have reported the Reds feel that an asking price of £50million is far too high for a teenager.

Nevertheless, thus far Liverpool have done good business, and it’s beginning to worry some sections of United’s fanbase.

Goldbridge admitted he was worried about Liverpool’s rebuild.

He said on his YouTube channel: “We mentioned Liverpool over the weekend and the signing of Szoboszlai. Lavia, they are leading the race on the Southampton midfielder [who] did get relegated but was one of the shining lights in a disappointing season for Southampton.

“Liverpool seem to be moving ahead and if they do get this deal done, I think Szoboszlai, Mac Allister and Lavia is a really impressive midfield set of signings.

“If Liverpool sort that midfield out are they a major threat, not just to Arsenal, but Man City? Because they’ve been there and done it.

“They fell off last year but can they quickly climb back up again? It’s going to be really interesting, and it will also be interesting if that’s the end of Liverpool’s business and whether they go for [Khéphren] Thuram.

“At the moment you can sort of see what Klopp and Liverpool have done. They’ve abandoned that [Jude] Bellingham deal, whether they could have won it or not, and they’ve gone and got three, maybe four midfielders that can massively improve them.

“And let's not forget, some people are saying Trent [Alexander-Arnold] should be moving into the midfield, which I don’t think is going to happen. But Liverpool, you’ve got to take your hat off to them and if they get Lavia - I’m not going to pretend that’s not a good signing.

“There’s a lot of clubs interested in him and it looks like Liverpool are moving ahead.”
