Liverpool supporters are convinced the Reds are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer after tracking an inbound flight to the UK.

Liverpool announced the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton on Thursday to kick-start Jurgen Klopp's summer squad overhaul.

While the Merseyside club only stated that Mac Allister had joined on a 'long-term' deal for an undisclosed fee, it is believed the Argentina international has signed a five-year deal at Anfield worth £150,000 per week.

There is uncertainty over how much Liverpool have forked out for the midfielder, with some reports claiming the Reds have paid just £35m for the World Cup winner.

Liverpool have set their sights on further signings after a disappointing season, which ended without silverware or a top-four finish.

They are expected to make bring in further midfield reinforcements after Mac Allister, with the club interested in several young targets.

Nice's Khephren Thuram, Borussia Monchengladbach's Manu Kone, Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch are just some of the names to be linked with a move to Anfield.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Liverpool have been in 'direct contact' with the agents of Thuram and Kone, who were spotted together in France earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Football Transfers reporter Jacque Talbot has gone a step further and claimed that Thuram has already 'verbally agreed' personal terms with the Premier League club.

Liverpool fans believe Thuram may have travelled to the UK on Thursday to sign this 'agreement' and even undergo a medical.

That's after supporters noticed a private plan has been chartered from Nice to Blackpool, landing in Lancashire at 9.28am UK time on Thursday morning.

"The plane trackers are out again," joked one fan on Twitter, replying to a screenshot of the plane tracker.

"Plane tracking is crazy, best fans in the world," posted another.

While a third wrote: "I live next to Blackpool airport is he due in tomorrow? I'll go stand at the fence and watch for him."

Nice are reportedly prepared to sell Thuram - the son of legendary France international Lilian Thuram - this summer, if they receive a suitable offer for the midfielder.

According to L'Equipe, Nice are willing to let him go if their asking price of €40m (£34.5m) is met, with the report going on to claim that Liverpool are preparing an opening offer for the French star.
