Paul Robinson has said that Liverpool are more likely to sign Borussia Dortmund wonderkid midfielder Jude Bellingham than any other Premier League club.

The former Tottenham and England goalkeeper told Football Insider that Bellingham would be a ‘great fit’ for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield for several years since his departure from Birmingham City, and is expected to make a move back to the Premier League next summer.

The Reds are entering a transitional phase in that area of the field. Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are out of contract this season, whilst Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are on the wrong side of 30.

Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho are great prospects, but at just 19, Bellingham has already proven himself at the very top level, as Robinson detailed.

“He just fits in at Liverpool,”

“The way that he plays and the system Klopp plays, it is a great fit.

“Bellingham is an incredibly talented footballer. He still has his best years ahead of him. He already has an unbelievable reputation. His charisma on the ball is something special. I love watching him.

“To achieve what he has at such a young age is remarkable. I think he has been really clever with how he has managed his career and his career path.

“It is only a matter of time before he returns to England. I strongly suspect he will move to Liverpool because of the way they play. It suits him.”

He has already accumulated 15 caps for England which could be added to this international break, whilst also playing 145 times across his two clubs.

He recently scored a header which put Borussia Dortmund ahead against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, his second in two matches in the competition this season.

The future of Bellingham will probably be one of the sagas of next summer, but the future is very bright for the teenager.
