Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Chelsea this summer, but he says is focussed on his future with Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham was one of few England players to impress during the latest round of international fixtures and it is clear to see why Liverpool and Chelsea are taking a look at the Dortmund man.

However, he doesn’t have his eye on a move this summer. Speaking to Ruhr Nachrichten, Bellingham revealed “the only future I think about is my next game for Dortmund.”

The youngster claims he is already looking ahead to “next season” where he “will be” at Dortmund.

The news comes as something of a blow to Liverpool. The Anfield club were also tracking Aurelien Tchouameni before his move to Real Madrid was confirmed a few days ago, and were disappointed to miss out. As such, Bellingham appeared to be the natural alternative.

Nonetheless, Dortmund are under no pressure to sell the talented midfielder. They’ve already moved on star striker Erling Haaland to Manchester City this summer.

Consequently, they aren’t short of money, and they won’t want to lose two star players in one transfer window.

And Bellingham seems genuinely happy to be continuing his development in the Bundesliga. It is a league which allows English youngsters to express themselves under less pressure.

Bellingham will look at his ex-teammate, Jadon Sancho, and ask whether making a move is really worth it.

Sancho’s fortunes have dropped since his return to England at Manchester United, and Bellingham will thus want to make sure he is absolutely ready before making a move.

A return to England isn’t Bellingham’s only option, either. The young midfielder is reportedly being looked at by Real Madrid as well.

Los Blancos would be interested in signing him next summer to play alongside fellow young superstar midfielders Tchouameni and Camavinga.

So, Liverpool may have to give up their pursuit of Bellingham. Jürgen Klopp’s choice to keep hold of the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain do indicate the potential signing of a new midfielder has been postponed to next summer.

As such, Liverpool fans are going to have to wait a little while longer for the potential union of Klopp and Bellingham in Merseyside.
