Liverpool send scouts to watch 'the new Jude Bellingham' after £3m bid rejected

Liverpool send scouts to watch 'the new Jude Bellingham' after £3m bid rejected

He has been dubbed the “new Jude Bellingham”.

Liverpool have sent scouts to watch a player that has been dubbed the “new Jude Bellingham”, according to a fresh report.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have endured a tumultuous season plagued by poor form and injury.

This time last year the Merseyside club were on course to achieve an unprecedented quadruple. However, this term the Reds will not only end the season trophyless but they are also likely to not qualify for next season’s Champions League.

In turn, the club have been tipped to be busy in the summer transfer window with the midfield, in particular, a position they want to bolster.

The club have been linked to the likes of Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham, with the latter thought to be Klopp’s number-one transfer target.

However, Bellingham is one of the most sought-after midfielders, believed to be on the shortlist of Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, while he would reportedly cost his suitors some £130million.

As the Reds continue their pursuit of the England international, it appears they are also exploring a deal for the next best thing - a player that has been labelled as the “next Jude Bellingham”.

The ‘next Jude Bellingham’

According to the Mail Online Leeds United and Liverpool scouts were at Birmingham City on Saturday to see teenager George Hall turn in a match-winning performance against Blackburn Rovers.

The 1-0 victory capped off a fine week for the 18-year-old, who played in three different positions while representing England’s U19s last week, scoring an assisting in a 2-0 win over Turkey.

Leeds are believed to be long-term admirers of the youngster, having even seen a £3million bid rebuffed last summer, according to Football Insider.

Hall first joined Birmingham aged eight and spent nine years working his way through the ranks of the club’s youth set-up before signing a two-year scholarship with the Blues in 2020.

The youngster has made ten starts for John Eustace’s side this term and is allegedly attracting interest from Liverpool and Leeds as well as a host of sides from Germany and Italy.
