Young Star 'Highly Thought Of' By Liverpool Rejects New Deal At Current Club

Liverpool transfer target Carney Chukwuemeka has rejected a new deal at Aston Villa

Liverpool transfer target and Aston Villa youngster, Carney Chukwuemeka, has recently rejected the chance to sign a new deal and has shown absolutely ‘no sign’ of extending his stay in the Midlands.

The 18 year-old is one of the most exciting prospects at Villa and has already impressed manager Steven Gerrard,

The former Liverpool midfielder has handed the youngster 16 first-team appearances already.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Chukwuemeka this summer as Jurgen Klopp potentially eyes up midfield additions, with Neil Jones reporting the Villa gem is ‘highly thought of’ at Anfield.

The Englishman’s current contract at Villa ends in the summer of 2023, meaning he could leave the Premier League side for pennies if they don’t cash in on him beforehand.

Mike Mcgrath from the Telegraph added to speculation surrounding Chukwuemeka’s future after revealing on Twitter that he has turned down a new contract offer from Villa and looks set to move on from the club.

Liverpool undeniably have an ageing midfield with Milner, Henderson and Thiago all in their 30s, and Fabinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain set to join them next year.

Klopp could soon turn his attention towards a potential rebuild.

It has been reported all window that Jude Bellingham could be the big signing who comes in next summer but Chukwuemeka may be a player who could add to the Red’s firepower much sooner.

He would come in as a squad player and mature into a regular over time alongside the likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho.

There is no doubt that Liverpool are one of the most exciting sides to sign for in world football, so the Villa man and u-19s Euro winner may jump at the opportunity to join Klopp’s side if invited to do so.
