It is looking more certain by the day that Mané will be leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich this summer and his potential replacement has been identified as Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.

El Periódico Mediterráneo are reporting that a fee of €40m would likely get the deal done, with the 25 year-old keen on coming back to the Premier League.

Danjuma has just completed one of his most successful campaigns to date, bagging 16 times, and helped bring Villarreal to an unlikely Champions League semi-final. The Dutch international is reportedly doing “everything possible to leave” this summer, with Liverpool being the likely destination.

Liverpool look to be facing possible competition for Danjuma’s signature in the form of Manchester United. Sky Sports are reporting that Ten Hag has taken an interest in the fellow Dutchman also, with him keen to replace Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata, who have both recently departed the club.

The other forwards being linked to Liverpool are Uruguayan forward Darwin Nuñez, who bagged 34 goals from 38 games this season, Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli and even Harry Kane.

Although the names being mentioned to replace him are exciting, Liverpool fans will still be sad to see Mane go. The Senegalese star has spent 6 very successful seasons at the club, scoring 120 goals from 269 appearances, winning the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, Super Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Cup in the process. However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.
