Liverpool have confirmed their starting XI and substitutes to take on Tottenham in the Premier League fixture between the two sides on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's side are looking to extend their three-game winning run in the league, and come against a Spurs side that showed renewed energy and belief under new interim boss Ryan Mason during Thursday's 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

The Reds must overcome another tough test if they are to continue their late push up the table, with a victory - coupled with Aston Villa failing to beat United at Old Trafford in the earlier game - moving them up to fifth position in the table.

Klopp's side defeated Nottingham Forest in a 3-2 win last Saturday, with Diogo Jota scoring twice.

That was followed by Wednesday's 2-1 away victory over West Ham, where Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip found the net.

The German boss has confirmed that he will rotate certain positions in the side over the coming weeks due to the Reds' intense fixture schedule - and he has done so once again today.

Liverpool vs Tottenham starting XIs confirmed

The key news for Liverpool is that Luis Diaz is included in the team for the first time since suffering a knee injury in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in October. He replaces Diogo Jota.

In addition, Ibrahima Konate returns to the backline in place of Joel Matip after he missed the West Ham win through injury,

And Harvey Elliott comes into the side in place of Jordan Henderson, with the Reds captain dropping to the bench.

Fabio Carvalho is once again named amongst the substitutes by Klopp, and could make his first appearance since the 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on March 15.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have made two changes from the side that drew with Manchester United.

Ben Davies and Dejan Kulusevski return to the side in place of Clement Lenglet and Richarlison, who both drop to the bench as Ryan Mason keeps faith with the majority of the team that fought back strongly in the second half of the United fixture from 2-0 down.
