Turkish club Galatasaray have held talks with Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, according to a fresh report.

Liverpool have several midfielders likely to leave the club in the summer.

Indeed, Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain and Keita have been blighted by injuries in the past few years and are both expected to depart Merseyside at the end of the season upon the expiry of their contracts.

Meanwhile, Reds loanee Arthur Melo has also been tipped to return to his parent club Juventus, having missed the majority of the season with a torn quad.

According to reports on the continent, Keita could be on his way to Turkey’s Süper Lig next term.

Keita to Galatasaray?

According to the Turkish publication A Spor Galatasaray are in talks with Liverpool midfielder Keita.

Per the source, the Turkish giants are already planning their end-of-season transfer plans, despite there being four days remaining of the Turkish winter window.

The Lions are able to hold direct talks with Keita and his representatives, given the 27-year-old has under six months left of his current deal.

And according to the publication Galatasaray have reached out to Keita’s team and expressed a desire to sign the Guinea international.

At present talks are said to be at an early stage, however, with the Istanbul club merely assessing whether Keita would be interested in making the move.

Galatasaray are currently at the summit of the Super Lig, six points ahead of rivals Fenerbahce, having won a record 14 straight games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Keita has made just 10 appearances this term, though has started Liverpool’s last three matches upon returning to fitness.
