Jurgen Klopp has reportedly expressed an interest in signing Real Madrid's Marco Asensio and Liverpool fans appear to be on board with the potential transfer.

Asensio has been the subject of intense transfer speculation as he enters the final year of his current contract.

There are doubts over whether he will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, with AC Milan thought to be eyeing a move ahead of tabling an official bid.

But, according to reports in Spain, the Italian giants face stiff competition from Liverpool to land the 26-year-old.

Spanish outlet Diario AS claim Klopp is interested in bringing Asensio to Liverpool.

The report states the Reds have already informed the star winger's representatives of their interest.

He's reportedly allowed to leave Spain for £35 million.

Asensio enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his career last season, scoring 12 goals across all competitions.

He seems to be back on track following his serious knee injury in 2019.

The prospect of Asensio plying his trade at Anfield has excited some of their fans ahead of a potential deal this summer.

Asensio has one year left and can help us play 442 or 4231. We'll do it IMO

If we could swoop Asensio for less than €25M I don’t see why not especially with 5 subs next season

— - (@PassLikeThiago) June 20, 2022

I’m taking Asensio for £25m every single day of the week and five times on weekends.

26 years old, crazy talent, scores from range. The Fekir we never got.

Might have dropped form, now people don’t want him, but where’s the “Trust in Klopp” gang gone all of a sudden?

Asensio could be viewed as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has been embroiled in a contract stand-off at Liverpool.
