Jordan Henderson believes it won't just be Liverpool and Man City in the Premier League title race next season.

The Reds captain has stated Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United could challenge for the trophy, having already strengthened their teams.

Speaking to The Times, Henderson had this to say: “I never think it will be just us and City,”

“The other teams have strengthened. You look at Chelsea, they are strengthening, United will strengthen, Spurs have done so quite a lot so far. You look at other teams who are also going to strengthen.”

Liverpool have had a fierce rivalry with Manchester City over the last few seasons, and if it wasn’t for 5 minutes of madness during City’s final day battle with Aston Villa, Liverpool would've been domestic champions once more.

Having recently confirmed the signing of Raheem Sterling, Chelsea will look set to kick-on next season.

Last season was difficult for Tuchel's men, they fell 19 points short of Manchester City in first, despite being in the title race until December.

Manchester United are starting to begin their rebuild under Ten Hag, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the recent signing of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.

United have impressed so far in pre-season after beating Liverpool 4-0 during a friendly in Bangkok.

Tottenham have also been adding fuel to the fire as Antonio Conte looks to make Spurs into title challengers.

They’ve already added Richarlison, Bissouma and Perisic to their ranks, and look to confirm the signing of talented youngster Djed Spence, in the next few weeks.

Despite losing Sadio Mane, Henderson still believes Liverpool have the firepower to chase the title next season.

“For any team that loses Sadio, it will be a big blow because he is a world-class player. He is one of the best forwards in the world so it’s always going to be difficult losing him,”

“But at the same time — we’ve got world class players, especially in the forward line…Luis Díaz coming, who performed phenomenally well (last season). Darwin has come in, (Roberto Firmino) is coming back, so we’ve got world class options.

“Things move on, change, hopefully we can adapt to that quickly.”

But the 32-year-old midfielder believes it won't just be City that Liverpool have to compete with for the title.
