A group of Liverpool fans are set to miss the Champions League final on Saturday night, after a coach company allegedly left them stranded.

Liverpool fans will be out in their tens of thousands in Paris today, as their team get ready for a huge final against Real Madrid at the Stade de France, with revenge from 2018 on their mind.

Whilst each team only officially gets 19,618 tickets each there will be plenty who managed to get tickets other ways and even more so just soaking up the atmosphere in the French capital.

However, one group of Reds' fans have been denied the chance to make it to Paris, after alleging they'd been stranded by Coach Innovations, on the side of the road by the company.

Coaches are said not to have turned up for hours and when one did arrive it merely beeped at those waiting and drove on, before claims were made that no fans were in attendance.

"We arrived at the rocket on Queens Drive for a schedule pick up of 4:15pm," one fan, Jay Burke, told the Liverpool Echo.

"It was meant to be 6:15pm but the company emailed everyone two days ago stating the pick up has changed to 4:15pm. Hundreds of us were there since 4:15pm and only about five out of 24 coaches that arrived.

"The four of us were there until 11pm with no communication at all just hoping for a coach to come. One coach came at 10pm and everyone flooded to get on, no register or anything just first come first served."

The 25-year-old added that he finally got through to the company after a lot of phone calls but was told that a coach had arrived but there were no fans.

Burke was also told that he should call back on Monday to get a refund, hardly the answer to his and many others' travel problems on Friday night.

Others took to social media to complain about the situation, that left them stood on Queens Drive hoping to be picked up and taken to Paris, although some did make it.

Demi Edmunds took to Facebook to say, "Coach to go to the final in Paris was meant to arrive to pick us up at 4:15pm today and every coach stopped and let people who weren’t even meant to be on that coach number on it.

"Then to top it off, our coach drove past beeping at us with no one on it and then when angry fans called they said ‘the company manager drove past and there was no one there.'

"Disgusted and disappointed fans was left waiting. Six hours of my life wasted. I am currently on my way home so disappointed."

We have contacted Coach Innovations to get their comment on the incident.

The problem is the second sickener to a large group of Liverpool fans hoping to see their team add to their illustrious history, in Paris, in the past few days.

Earlier in the week it was reported that hundreds of fans had been scammed online by a ticket tout, who had previously been proved to be trustworthy.

One group of fans were scammed out of £19,000 on tickets to the match, and over 100 tickets were proved to be fake, as the account selling tickets was soon deleted and the phone number disconnected.
