Darwin Nunez has made a strong start to life in the Premier League but he has now revealed that he really wants to ‘learn English’ before he feels completely at home in Merseyside.

Liverpool signed the Uruguayan for up to £85 million from Benfica this summer, after scoring 34 goals in all competitions for the Portuguese side, including 6 in the Champions League.

There is a strong contingent of South Americans in Jurgen Klopp's side and Nunez also revealed that ‘Firmino, Fabinho, Luis Diaz and Fabio Carvalho’ have all been helping him settle in and made him ‘feel at home’.

Despite players such as James Milner and Thiago being able to speak Spanish, the 23-year-old has stated that he would like to learn how to speak English in order to fully converse with the majority of his teammates.

“As time goes by, I’ll be trying to learn English and then I’ll be able to converse more with the English-speaking players,” Nunez told Liverpool.com.

“I really do want to learn English because English is very important in everything. So when I’ve picked more of the language, I’ll then be able to speak to everyone in English."

Whilst he may still be settling in off the pitch, Nunez has certainly felt at home on it, adding another goal to his Liverpool tally against Fulham at the weekend, during the Reds 2-2 with the newly promoted side.

Not only did he get himself a goal, but he caused Fulham's defence a world of problems with his aerial ability and his runs in behind and even managed to bag himself an assist.

The Uruguayan now has two goals in two appearances for the Reds and looks to have slotted into the Liverpool front line with ease.

The Kop faithful will be able to catch his first appearance in Merseyside when the Reds face Crystal Palace at home on Monday.
