Daniel Agger is living a very different life since retiring from football and it sounds crazy

The former Liverpool defender owns a sewage company, has become a tattoo artist and has now started his managerial career.

Daniel Agger was known as a tough tackling defender during his time at Liverpool and in his post playing career he's certainly tackling more than one area of expertise.

Agger joined Liverpool from Brondby in 2006 and spent nine seasons in the Premier League before returning to Brondby in 2014.

The Danish defender made 232 appearances for the Reds during his time in Merseyside and helped them win the League Cup in 2012, starting the final against Cardiff City.

Agger retired at the age of just 31 in 2016, following a career taking pain killers to control his back problems, and has led an interesting post football life.

The 38-year-old launched a sewage company in 2013, according to the Sun, called KloAgger, roughly translated to Agger Toilet, and invested £450,000 into the company initially.

As well as dealing with poop, or at least the administrative side of it, the two time Danish footballer of the year, is also a tattoo artist.

Agger was well known for his ink when he was a Liverpool player and has become part of tattoo artist community Tattoodo, a company he's also invested in, since hanging up his boots.

Speaking about his own ink work in 2016, Agger revealed he sees all the work on his body as one piece, saying, "I see it as one piece. When I speak to people I talk about my tattoo as one piece but obviously every tattoo has a story, some better than others."

On the letters Y.N.W.A, for 'You'll Never Walk Alone,' tattooed on his knuckles, the former defender added, "Timing was quite good," Agger said. "[There were] a lot of rumours sending me to another club for a lot of money but I knew I was staying.

"Somehow I wanted to show that to the footballing world and this was a way I wanted to show it."

As if being an entrepreneur and tattoo artist wasn't enough the man with 11 goals from 72 international appearances, he is now back working in football.

The two time Danish Footballer of the Year is now managing NordicBet Liga Side HB Koge, who he took over last June, with former Denmark teammate Lars Jacobson as his assistant.

According to reports, the former defender apparently registered himself as a player just in case he was required.
