Darwin Nunez brutally trolled by Domino’s after Liverpool’s Brentford horror show

Darwin Nunez has had a tough start to his Liverpool career

Darwin Nunez has been brutally trolled by popular pizza restaurant chain Domino’s after Liverpool’s dismal display against Brentford on Monday evening.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were absolutely awful as they lost 3-1 against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. Ibrahima Konate’s own goal plus goals from Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo secured the victory.

There has been a lot of noise about Nunez ever since his summer move to Liverpool from Benfica. With a price tag of £85 million, there was huge expectation placed upon the Uruguayan.

However, despite his nine goals in 21 appearances, Nunez has often been criticised for wasting chances. The 23-year-old did so again during the match against the Bees.

Nunez had a good chance to score after rounding the goalkeeper but saw his shot blocked by Ben Mee, he went on to make a series of poor decisions when in good positions.

To make his evening worse, pizza restaurant chain Domino’s brutally trolled the Liverpool man on Twitter.

They tweeted a picture of Nunez with a caption that read: “Sorry if we’ve missed any orders tonight, we’ve just had this guy start.”

Fans were quick to react to the cheeky dig made by Domino’s.

One said: “This is why Dominos is the best.”

Another tweeted: “Makes me want to order a domino’s haha.”

A third fan added: “Imagine getting trolled by Dominos.”

Someone else wrote: “Damn even Dominoes is flaming him.”

During the match, Sky Sports commentators Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville both agreed that Nunez has the qualities to become a top-class striker. However, they insisted that his decision-making and finishing have to improve drastically if he is to establish himself as Liverpool’s main man.

After their horror show against Brentford, Liverpool will now have to dust themselves off as they prepare to start the defence of their FA Cup, which starts this weekend when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
