Man City's Haaland Drops Hint On Liverpool Target Jude Bellingham's Future

Man City's Haaland Drops Hint On Liverpool Target Jude Bellingham's Future

Erling Haaland dropped a hint about a potential move to England for his former teammate and Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.

Speaking at his unveiling as a Manchester City player, Erling Haaland dropped a hint about a potential move to England for his former teammate Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham has been linked with a move to Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but if he were to make the switch, he likely wouldn’t join the Reds until summer 2023.

Asked whether he thinks the midfielder will be playing in the Premier League next season, Haaland replied “good question, we will have to see.”

For now though, it looks like the England international will be staying with Dortmund, who are unwilling to part ways with him this summer having already offloaded Haaland.

Jürgen Klopp is also understood to be happy with his midfield options at Liverpool heading into the new season.

Alongside regular starters Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara, Klopp can pick from the likes of Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, and James Milner to complete his midfield three.

Whether that midfield truly boasts enough quality is a key area of debate amongst Liverpool fans, with engine room goal contributions few and far between at Anfield.

Bellingham would change that should he make the move to Liverpool next summer.

He is an all-action midfielder whose profile is well suited to Liverpool’s style of play.

Before Real Madrid swooped in, Liverpool were also understood to be keeping tabs on Aurelien Tchouameni.

Bellingham is clearly viewed as a top-quality alternative to the Frenchman.

As for Haaland, he’ll be excited to be getting started with his Manchester City ahead of his first Premier League season.

The Norway international scored a remarkable 62 goals for Dortmund despite starting just 59 Bundesliga games for the Black and Yellow.

Liverpool fans will be hoping their own big money forward this signing, Darwin Nuñez, will be competing with Haaland for the golden boot.

Haaland might have considered Bellingham his “best mate” at Dortmund, but it would appear a reunion for them in the Premier League is unlikely.

A move to Liverpool next summer would appear to be more probable for the £103 million-rated Englishman.
