Lionel Messi's 'GOAT' Status Is 'Confirmed' With Paris Saint-Germain's Sleeve Sponsor

Lionel Messi's 'GOAT' Status Is 'Confirmed' With Paris Saint-Germain's Sleeve Sponsor

Paris Saint-Germain's new sleeve sponsor is 'GOAT' and it was no surprise to see Lionel Messi in the official pictures.

Paris Saint-Germain's new sleeve sponsor is 'GOAT' - and of course Lionel Messi had to be involved in the official photoshoot.

The Ligue One champions unveiled their 2022/23 home kit on Wednesday, with the shirt featuring a large white vertical stripe with red trim down the middle.

Stars like Kylian Mbappe, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Marco Verratti were all present in the promotional material.

But Messi, heading into his second season as a PSG player, was of course the main attraction.

GOAT, a sneaker marketplace founded in 2015 and carrying the tag "the global platform for the past, present and future", became an official partner of PSG's in April.

They will become a principal partner at the start of July and have their logo appear on the sleeve of kits, training attire and other match apparel.

And fans are loving the cold image of seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi, who many believe is the greatest of all time (GOAT).

Messi is said to have been responsible for 60% of the 1 million shirts PSG sold last season, while the club received ten new partners and believe they have made £600 million in revenue as a result of the Argentine's arrival.

With that in mind, it makes complete sense for GOAT to link up with PSG and Messi.

In 2018, Messi took part in one of the most iconic photoshoots of all time when he posed with an actual goat for Paper Magazine.

The 35-year-old was the outlet's cover star for June and the images taken by photographer Carles Carab for the feature were simply stunning.

Messi has scored 769 goals and registered 331 assists for club and country and performed an exceptionally high level for around 15 years.

His first campaign at PSG was a quiet one by his usual standards as he scored six and assisted 15 in the league.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi believes fans will see "the best version of Messi ever" next term.
