Lionel Messi Prevents Security From Dragging Away A Young Fan Desperate To Take A Selfie With The PSG Star

Lionel Messi prevented a young supporter from being taken away by security and stopped to take a selfie with the fan after PSG's Trophee des Champions win over Nantes. Watch the video below:

Messi continued his promising form ahead of the new Ligue 1 season with the opening goal as PSG beat Nantes 4-0 on Sunday.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner rounded Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont before rolling the ball into the empty net to put his side ahead.

Neymar doubled PSG's lead shortly before half-time before Sergio Ramos made it 3-0 with a superb back-heeled finish after the break.

Nantes were then reduced to 10 men when Jean-Charles Castelletto saw red for bringing Neymar down inside the area.

The Brazilian stepped up to score the penalty – sealing a comfortable victory for PSG, who claimed the Trophee des Champions for the 15th time.

After the match, a young supporter attempted to get a photo with Messi as he headed down the tunnel at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Security grabbed the youngster, pulling him away from the Barcelona man.

The commotion caused Messi to stop, which prompted the security official to release the youngster – allowing him to take a selfie with the Argentine star.

Fans on social media have praised Messi for taking the time to speak to the young supporter.

"Messi's a great person," wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: "U gotta love this man."

Ligue 1 champions PSG will begin their title defence on Saturday when they travel to face Clermont Foot in their opening match of the season.
