Lionel Messi scores stunning long-range goal as PSG come from behind to beat Troyes in seven-goal thriller

Another incredible goal to add to his collection.

Lionel Messi scored yet another spectacular goal to help Paris Saint-Germain come from behind to beat Troyes in Ligue 1.

After a disappointing debut season in French football, Messi now looks back to his best.

He impressed again on Saturday as PSG beat Troyes 4-3 at the Parc des Princes.

The visitors took a shock lead after just three minutes when Mama Balde fired past PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The home side equalised through Carlos Soler but fell behind again to another Balde goal early in the second half.

But just three minutes later, PSG were level courtesy of a magnificent goal from Messi.

After picking up the ball around 30 yards out, Messi rifled a shot into the bottom corner to the delight of the home support.

Neymar would put the hosts ahead seven minutes later after being brilliantly set up by the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Kylian Mbappe then looked to have wrapped the match up by scoring a penalty with 15 minutes to go.

But the drama was not yet over, with Ante Palaversa pulling one back for Troyes in the 88th minute.

Despite a nervy finish, PSG would hold to claim the win which moved them five points clear of Lens at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG supporters on social media were full of praise for Messi after his incredible strike.

"What a goal from the GOAT," posted one fan on Twitter.

"The greatest to ever play the game, what a player," added another.

"Goal of the season so far," posted a third fan.

While another simply put: "The best there is."

Messi has now scored 12 goals and provided as many assists in 17 games for PSG this season in all competitions.

He will hope to add to that tally when PSG take on Italian side Juventus in their final Champions League group match in Turin on Wednesday.
