First player comments on Kylian Mbappe leaving Paris Saint-Germain and it's sent social media into meltdown

A club rival of Mbappe has spoken.

The first high-profile player has commented on reports that Kylian Mbappe will leave PSG as a free agent when his contract expires this summer.

Mbappe's future has been a major topic of discussion for the entire season, ever since it emerged last summer that he would not be taking up the additional year of his PSG contract.

He was initially frozen out of the first team, but was reintegrated after the first game of the Ligue 1 season to lead the line for Luis Enrique's side.

Fans have long believed that Mbappe would eventually end up at Real Madrid - especially after the club elected not to sign a permanent replacement for the departing Karim Benzema last summer.

All signs now point to Los Blancos potentially being able to do a deal for relatively little money this summer, with The Athletic reporting that he has informed PSG of his decision to leave.

Now, Real and France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who simply posted two popcorn emojis in his latest tweet on X (Twitter) on Thursday evening.

Naturally, of course, fans now think Mbappe is definitely joining Real Madrid.

One fan wrote: "Yeah it's wraps man."

Another said: "Agent Tchouameni has done what needs to be done."

A third agreed: "Agent Tchouameni, let's goooooo."

A fourth wrote: "Mbappe to Real Madrid, here we go!"

When Mbappe does leave Parc des Princes, he will have his pick of options from some of the biggest clubs in the world - although not all of them may be able to afford him.

According to French outlet Le Parisien (via GFFN), Mbappe earns £5.1 per month, before tax, as part of his current contract, with no reported performance clauses.

Given that the Frenchman will also command a high signing-on fee, doing a deal to sign him could be tricky - but you imagine Real will be very much at the front of the queue.
