Liam Gallagher has revealed Manchester United legend Eric Cantona starred in his 'Once' music video free of charge.
Back in 2019, the enigmatic Frenchman shared a clip of himself listening to Gallagher's single and he was a big fan.

The former Oasis frontman decided to get in contact with Cantona and ask how much he wanted to be involved in the project. Surprisingly, it was absolutely nothing.
Gallagher explained during an appearance on 'The 2 Johnnies Podcast' and it sums up 'King Eric' to a tee.
"He’s [Cantona] singing 'Once' at home on his Instagram," the rock icon begun.

"So we got someone to ring him up and say 'look, do you want to be in this video? Because we see you like the song.' And he said 'yes, I’ll be in it'.
"We spoke to him and said, 'Look, how much do you want to be in the video?'"
Gallagher then put on a French accent and mimicked Cantona's reply of: 'I do not want no money.'"
He then reverts back to his own voice and continues: "We go, 'We’re gonna have to give you something'. He goes, 'I’ll be in the video for nothing'.
Gallagher then remarks Cantona must've wanted 'f**king summat' but he didn't. The 55-year-old paid for his own hotel and even brought his own wine, despite it being offered to him.

"I will bring my own wine," he declared.
The video itself, fittingly, depicts Cantona as a king and Gallagher works as his butler.
He gets a couple of lines himself but most of the time, he mimes along to the smash hit while wandering around a mansion.
Once filming was wrapped, Cantona disappeared and Gallagher hasn't spoken to him since. Yes, really.

"Anyway, he turns up, did the video, f**ked off man," Gallagher added. "Never seen him again for nothing. What a geezer... Just because he loved the song. That's what real legends are about.
"I was going, 'What the f**k? How much money do you want?' But he didn't want nothing. He didn't want picking up at the airport, he hired his own car, got his own hotel, brought his own food, done the f**king video and f**ked off home!
"Never seen him again. Didn't want nothing. That's what you call a proper legend."
Gallagher is a massive Manchester City fan so sharing the screen with Cantona mustn't have ever been on his bucket list.
