Leeds United smash Chelsea 3-0 in ruthless performance, move to second in the Premier League table

Huge win for Leeds.

Leeds United continued their impressive start to the new season by smashing Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road.

Jesse Marsch's outfit remain undefeated from their opening three Premier League matches after collecting three big points on Sunday.

They picked up their second home win of the season by beating their old rivals.

Leeds opened the scoring in comical fashion when Brenden Aaronson pounced on an Edouard Mendy mistake.

He tapped home from close range after intercepting the goalkeeper.

Rodrigo doubled his side's lead after guiding a brilliant header into the back of the net from a wonderful Jack Harrison free-kick.

That's now four goals in three games for the Spaniard as he enjoys a prolific start to the new campaign.

Harrison then got himself on the score-sheet in the second half after poking the ball home from close range.

It went from bad to worse for the Blues as Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off late on after picking up his second yellow card.

Leeds move to second in the table, level with Tottenham on seven points.

As for Chelsea, they've dropped points for the second consecutive game following their 2-2 draw against Spurs last weekend.

At this early stage, Thomas Tuchel's side remain in the bottom half of the table.
