A list of odds for Laura Woods' replacement at talkSPORT, Jimmy Bullard is favourite to take over

Jimmy Bullard is the bookies favourite to take over as host of talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show.

Jimmy Bullard is currently the bookies favourite to replace Laura Woods as host of talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show.

Woods announced on Wednesday morning that she will be stepping down from her role at the end of June.

The 35-year-old, who has hosted the flagship show since 2020, was visibly emotional as she delivered a heartwarming farewell to co-host Ally McCoist, saying it has been a "privilege" to work with the former Rangers manager.

Speaking to McCoist live on air, she said: “Ally, I want to say to you that I genuinely feel like I won the lottery to be able to work so closely with you.

"When the entire world has been speaking about one sporting event - whatever that may be - me and you just get to sit in these chairs and talk about it with each other."

She added: "That's been the privilege of my life, it really has, I'm just very lucky to be able to do that."

McCoist, also emotional, responded: "I know I speak for everyone, it has been an absolute pleasure, I cannot tell you how much I have loved it.

"I've loved it from start to finish, I love you dearly, you've been an absolute breath of fresh air, you've made me feel 18 again in the nicest possible way."

So who will take over as host of Sports Breakfast when the new season rolls around?

Former Wigan and Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard, who recently departed Soccer AM, is the 11/10 favourite, according to Betfair, while talkSPORT presenter Natalie Sawyer is priced up at 5/2.
