Laura Woods has held 'positive talks' with BT Sport to present their live Premier League coverage next season, when they rebrand as TNT Sports, according to reports.

From July 2023 onwards, TNT Sports will 'continue the spirit' of what BT Sport has built over the past decade after American company Warner Bros Discovery, which also owns Eurosport, bought the group.

The company are said to be planning a major revamp to the entire operation, including the departure of BT Sport Score.

Premier League football will, of course, be shown on the new channel, as well as other sports – and they want to make a statement by bringing in one of the best sports presenters in the business.

Laura Woods is said to have held talks with BT Sport, according to Daily Mail, who say the company are 'confident' she will join when they rebrand to TNT.

It is understood that the offer to Woods includes presenting live matches, as well as involvement in other programming.

The 35-year-old, who currently presents the morning breakfast show on talkSPORT, also works for DAZN, ITV and Amazon Prime Video.

In August last year, Woods confirmed her departure from Sky Sports after 13 years with the television channel.

Woods started with Sky as a runner in 2009 and gradually worked her way up to becoming a permanent fixture on TV screens.

Earlier this month, Woods was priced as the bookies favourite to take Jeff Stelling's job on Soccer Saturday.

She was priced at 2/1 to replace the 68-year-old ahead of Mark Chapman, who leads the Match of the Day 2 coverage on BBC.

Julian Warren, who fills in for Stelling during midweek shows, came in at 4/1, ahead of Sky Sports trio Micah Richards, David Jones and Kelly Cates.

BBC's Dan Walker, BT Sport's Jake Humphrey, former England international Alex Scott and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker were also given odds to replace Stelling.
