Details of what Vinicius Jr said to Lamine Yamal just moments before the pair were involved in a heated Altercation Following El Clasico have been revealed.

On Sunday, perhaps the biggest game in the football calendar took place as historic rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona faced off in an El Clasico match the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid star player Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring just 22 minutes into the match thanks to an assist from Jude Bellingham, but Fermin Lopez quickly equalised, assisted by Marcus Rashford.

However, the hosts retook the lead shortly before half-time as Bellingham scored the winner, sealing the three points for Real Madrid.

But it wasn't the result that is the key talking point following the match as, tensions tensions boiled over in the final moments of the match as a brawl broke out between both benches.

And now, details of what Vinicius Jr said to Barcelona rival Yamal shortly before the shocking altercation has emerged.

After the full-time whistle Vinicius, who was visibly angry when Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso took him off in the 72nd minute, began arguing with Yamal as the pair approached the tunnel.

Eventually, the discussion became so heard that security had to hold the Brazilian back as he launched as he tired to make his way towards the Barcelona star.

But it wasn't just post-match that the pair clashed, as earlier in the game Vinicius could be heard telling his rival: "You only pass backwards.”

And Vinicius Jr wasn't the only Real Madrid player who confronted the Barcelona star after the match, as Dani Carvajal was also seen approaching Yamal following the whistle.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the veteran defender was planning on ‘confronting’ his national teammate, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that he told the 18-year-old "You speak too much. Speak now”.

However, Carvajal's team-mate Eduardo Camavinga held Yamal back as other players from both sides got involved with the confrontation.

The post-match tensions eventually led to two Real Madrid players - including goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, who was on the bench - being booked, while Barcelona's Pedri received a second yellow card in the final moments of the fixture for a foul on Aurelien Tchouameni.

Despite the fighting, the Real Madrid were clearly elated as they celebrated opening up a five-point gap at the top of La Liga.

And when he was asked about the incident during his post-match press conference, Alonso admitted that he wasn't concerned about the involvement of his players.

He said: "The last minute fight? I think it reflected the intensity and the importance of the game. I think it's healthy competition."
