We simulated Real Madrid in three rival leagues with club ready to 'quit' La Liga and the results were eye-opening

Spanish media reported on Monday that Real Madrid could consider quitting La Liga - so we've simulated how they could perform in three rival leagues.

SPORT claimed that Real see La Liga president Javier Tebas as 'their number one enemy', and believe he is 'leading a crusade' against the club.

It is also alleged that Real may 'request asylum in the Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1' if they shock the world by deciding to quit La Liga entirely.

Such a move would be a history-defining decision and likely a non-starter in any case, as Los Blancos would have to seek approval from UEFA, FIFA and La Liga themselves.

They are also said to have 'not stop[ped] studying the possibility of also moving forward with a European Super League that will distance them from Tebas'.

As a result, we've simulated Real Madrid in the aforementioned three European leagues using Football Manager 2024.

Real Madrid in Serie A

Real dominated Serie A under former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, winning 32 of their 38 games played in the Italian top division.

They collected a total of 99 points to win the league, 11 points ahead of nearest rivals Inter Milan. Only one team - Juventus with 102 in 2013/14 - have scored 100 points in a single Serie A season.

They had less success in cup competitions, however. Real were knocked out by fellow Serie A side Lecce in round three of the Coppa Italia before being beaten by Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Real Madrid in the Bundesliga

The Spanish side also won the Bundesliga title, only losing one of their 34 games - though it was a closer battle than in Serie A.

Real were six points ahead of Bayern Munich, who took the title battle into the final three games of the season. But Los Blancos were relentless, winning all five of their final matches.

Real Madrid in Ligue 1

Real ended the PSG dominance in Ligue 1, making it a hat-trick of league titles across three FM simulations.

They lost only two games on the way to success and conceded just 13 goals in the entire Ligue 1 season.

Los Blancos also scooped the Coupe de France title, though finished as runners-up in that season's Champions League.

Having already won league titles in all three nations in real life, Ancelotti managed to repeat all those triumphs with Real in the virtual world.
