A man who was shot dead on Christmas Day has been identified as the “brother-in-law” of Real Madrid and Brazil forward Endrick, according to reports.
Mauricio Nunes Goncalves, 38, was shot repeatedly at a street bar in Samambaia near the capital Brasilia.
Goncalves is said to have received several shots to the head as he tried to escape, claim The Sun, who suggest it was a "targeted" gun attack.

Witnesses have since told the police there was no prior argument between the gunman and his victim. There have been no reports of any arrests, with police actively pursuing leads regarding the murder.
It is said Goncalves was the brother of the partner of Endrick's older sister, Lavinia Sudre, but he is being referred to in Brazil as the footballer's brother-in-law.
After the horrific murder on Wednesday morning, Sudre changed her Instagram profile picture to one showing a black ribbon.

She also posted a photo of the victim alongside the caption: "You left beautiful memories in our hearts that we will never forget."
The funeral was scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon at 3pm local time.
Endrick arrived in Madrid following his 18th birthday in July 2024, having already reached an agreement in December 2022.

The Brazilian made his first team debut in August, scoring during a 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid in La Liga.
However, due to the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo, Endrick has had to settle for a less prominent role under Carlo Ancelotti, which has sparked rumours over his future.
Last month, it was suggested that Endrick was attracting interest from the Premier League after it emerged that Ancelotti could be ready to sanction a loan deal.
As reported by Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur have already registered their interest in a potential deal, but they will face competition from Serie A giants Juventus.
